Therapeutic Approaches

I integrate several evidence-based approaches to support each client’s unique goals and healing process. My work is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and respect for each person’s individual journey. The primary methods I draw from include Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Client-Centered Therapy.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Emotionally Focused Therapy helps individuals and couples recognize and understand the emotional patterns that influence their relationships. By identifying and expressing underlying emotions in a supportive environment, clients can strengthen connection, increase trust, and improve communication. EFT encourages deeper awareness and helps create lasting, secure bonds.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy focuses on finding balance between accepting yourself as you are and making meaningful changes. Through practical skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and effective communication, clients learn to navigate challenges with greater confidence and stability. DBT offers tools to manage intense emotions and build more fulfilling relationships.

Solution-Focused Therapy

Solution-Focused Therapy centers on identifying strengths and building on what is already working in a client’s life. Rather than focusing solely on problems, this approach helps clients envision and take steps toward their preferred future. It’s a collaborative, goal-oriented process that fosters hope, resilience, and practical change.

Client-Centered Therapy

Client-Centered Therapy emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuine understanding. This approach allows clients to feel fully heard and supported as they explore their thoughts and emotions. It creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where self-awareness and personal growth can naturally unfold.
